Tara Morris - Tail Guide

Our sister in shred and assistant guide Tara Morris! We are lucky to have this kickass babe on board...we mean skis.

Tara has been sliding down the slopes since she was a wee tot in her father’s backpack. Born and raised in Fernie but has been calling Nelson home for the last 5 years. Ski patroller by winter and forest tech by summer she has a deep love and respect for the mountains.

Lauren Powers - Photographer
Backcountry ski Photography came into her life while she was in Japan and determined to be a ski guide. A friend recognized her creative eye and encouraged her to apply for the job- photography has always been a passion for her, so she went for it.
Fast forward to now, she's more in love than ever with backcountry ski photography, as it is both her craft and practice.
She says she is thrilled to work with the Pow Gals and contribute to the inspiration snowboarding brings.
Every day she feels blessed to snowboard and photograph for a career, and now to be recognized as a female backcountry photographer in the Kootenays brings much joy into her life.
She hopes to be living this dream life for many years to come, and is excited to share her passions with those around her.
